"In the midst of uncertainty awaiting cancer results, I turned to candle-making as a way to find solace and occupy my mind. Each flicker of the flame became a beacon of hope, a reminder to stay present in the moment. When the results came back positive, instead of letting fear consume me, I poured my energy into perfecting my craft. As I navigated through treatment, candles became my therapy, my creative outlet, and eventually, my passion.

Now, every candle I create is a testament to my journey. They're more than just wax and fragrance; they're a reflection of my resilience, my strength, my healing. Through my love for candle-making, I share not just candles, but a story—a story of overcoming adversity, finding light in the darkness, and embracing every moment of this beautiful, chaotic thing we call life."

Da Luz

At Da Luz, the name is more than just a label – it's a reflection of our mission. 'Da Luz,' originating from Portuguese, embodies the concept of 'giving light' or 'providing light.' Interestingly, it also metaphorically means 'giving birth.' After a resilient battle against cancer, Aline wanted to celebrate every single moment of life. Candles, often present in these special moments, became a symbol of joy and resilience for her. So, she gave birth to this project.

Our mission is to craft high-quality candles infused with intention and meaning, each one representing a journey of healing and strength. To create candles that not only bring light and warmth into people's homes but also serve as symbols of hope and resilience. Through our products, we aim to inspire and uplift others, reminding them of the beauty of resilience, the importance of celebrating every simple moment of life, and the power of finding light in the darkest moments. We are also highly committed to the environment, ensuring our products are among the most sustainable on the market.   • Soy Wax: We exclusively use soy wax, a renewable resource that burns cleanly and supports sustainable agriculture.
  • Label: Our Eco Linen vinyl label is made with PET instead of PVC. Unlike PVC, which takes hundreds of years to decompose and releases harmful chemicals, PET decomposes significantly faster without the same environmental impact. These labels are eco-friendly AND gorgeous!
  • Compostable stickers: Our stickers are made from compostable materials, ensuring that even the smallest details of our products are environmentally conscious.
  • Recyclable Packaging: We utilize recyclable materials for our packaging, minimizing waste and reducing our environmental footprint.
  • Reusable Containers: Our candle containers are designed to be reused, promoting a circular economy and reducing single-use waste.
